Jeff Sandborn, a corn grower near Portland, Mich., serves on the Corn Board of the National Corn Growers Association, a farmer-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington.
Sandborn raises corn, the bulk of which goes to a local ethanol plant, along with soybeans and wheat for seeds in south-central Michigan. Along with his cousin, he custom farms an additional 600 acres.
On the national level, Sandborn currently chairs the Governance Committee and represents the association in 25 x ‘25. Previously, he chaired NCGA’s Ethanol Committee and Bylaws Committee. A graduate of NCGA’s Advanced Leadership Program and Leadership at Its Best, he has also chaired the Michigan Corn Growers Association.
