Wesley Spurlock, a farmer in Stratford, Texas, serves as the president of the Corn Board of the National Corn Growers Association, a grower-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington.
Spurlock farms 9,600 acres of irrigated corn, cotton, wheat and grain sorghum in the upper Texas panhandle, where he also runs a harvesting and spray company.
Spurlock also serves as president of the National Corn Growers Association Foundation and on the Allied Industry Council Executive Committee. He represents NCGA on the BNSF Railway Ag Business Council and serves as the association’s delegate to the U.S. Grains Council.
Previously, he co-chaired the 2016 Commodity Classic Joint Venture Committee, chaired NCGA’s Finance Committee and Association Relations Committee and served as the Corn Board liaison to the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the National Chicken Council. He has represented NCGA on the National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Advisory Board and been a member of NCGA’s Production Stewardship Action Team and its Mycotoxin Task Force.
Spurlock currently serves as a director for the Corn Producers Association of Texas and the Texas Corn Producers Board.
