The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) has updated its Know Before You Grow database, which lists commercially available biotech corn hybrids, and their approval status in the United States, Europe and Japan. The list, which includes events that are available for the first time for the 2007 growing season can be found in the <Resource section of NCGA’s web site.
The Know Before You Grow database was created in 2001, and is updated as the seed industry releases new information.
“The Know Before You Grow database allows growers to check the status of hybrids before planting,” said Martin Barbre, chairman of the Biotechnology Working Group. “Our goal is to ensure that every corn grower knows about hybrid status, and one way to do that is to enlist the help of the seed companies.”
