NCGA’s Ethanolfacts.com Celebrates One Year on the Web (7-28-06)
Ethanolfacts.com, sponsored by the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), celebrates its one year anniversary today as a comprehensive source of basic facts about ethanol and its benefits to the U.S. consumer.
The Web site sets the record straight on ethanol by offering consumers a single source of reliable information.
Ethanolfacts.com is an indispensable source of information for consumers looking to learn more about ethanol,” said NCGA President Gerald Tumbleson. “The site continues to receive thousands of hits each month, which indicates how important a purpose this site serves. It provides useful facts and dispels myths about ethanol.”
Nearly 80,000 unique Web users visited ethanolfacts.com in its first year, meaning that 220 people per day learned more about the value of ethanol to the U.S. economy, environment and energy security.
According to user statistics, the most popular sections of the site include “Ethanol and Your Engine,” “Ethanol Economics,” and “E85.” The site also offers a popular feature that allows users to ask questions regarding ethanol. More than 1,200 individual questions have been answered since the site was launched.
Every major auto maker in the world approves of the use of 10 percent ethanol—E-10—fuel under warranty. Visitors learn how ethanol improves engine performance, reduces carbon monoxide emissions and offers other environmental benefits.
Ethanolfacts.com also includes facts on:
