Ethanol Pump Tour Rolls into Galva, Ill., NCGA Notes (5-18-06)
The AgriTalk Ethanol Pump Tour, sponsored by the National Corn Growers Association, visits Galva, Ill., on Friday, allowing motorists to save on E-10.
AgriTalk, with host Mike Adams, will broadcast live from 10 to 11 a.m. from the CENEX Convenience Store in Galva. Local radio station WKEI will broadcast live from the location from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
E-10 fuel will be discounted 10 cents per gallon at the pump.
“Illinois corn growers are always thrilled when the AgriTalk Ethanol Pump Tour includes one of our state’s rural communities,” said Leon Corzine, NCGA Chairman and a farmer from Assumption, Ill. “The tour showcases the benefits of ethanol to our nation, allowing farmers to educate the public on ethanol as part of our energy solution. Renewable fuels allow us to wean ourselves off foreign oil and keep dollars in our rural communities. It is clear renewable fuels are a win-win for America.”
Corzine also noted Illinois celebrated the opening of the state’s 100th E85 pump in Litchfield on Thursday. Gov. Rod Blagojevich was there for the grand opening.
The next AgriTalk Pump Tour stops include:
- May 26 - Jacksonville, Ill.
- June 9 – Columbus, Neb.
- June 23 – Oakes, N.D.
