Only 3 Weeks Remain for Gallery of Corn Photo Contest (11-8-06)

The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) reminds members Nov. 28 is the deadline for entries for the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) Gallery of Corn Photo Contest.

Seven different categories will capture the essence of corn farming in the Heartland and capture the beauty of the corn crop and family farm life. The contest is open to NCGA members and their families and state staff

This year’s contest includes a category for historic farm life. Returning categories include planting, growing, harvesting, production livestock, family life and scenic.

Capturing our heritage in photos is one of the best things a farm family can do, says Grower Services team chairman Matt Gibson. “The entries over the past few years have been really impressive. Our photos help to promote agriculture.”

NCGA celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2007, and the winning photos will be showcased at the 2007 Commodity Classic in Tampa, Fla., March 1-3.
