NCGA Corn Board Application Deadline Nears (1-4-07)

The deadline is fast approaching for corn growers’ opportunity to throw their hat in the ring for a seat on the National Corn Growers Association’s (NCGA) Corn Board for fiscal year 2008.

NCGA invites corn grower-members to be an integral part of its leadership by applying for positions on the Corn Board by Friday, Jan. 12. The Corn Board supervises and directs the day-to-day business and policy matters of NCGA. Corn Board members represent NCGA in official business.

“Participation in the Corn Board means involvement in agricultural policy from the farm level all the way up to international trade,” says NCGA President Ken McCauley. Election to the Corn Board is the first step in becoming involved in NCGA leadership.”

Nominated candidates will be introduced at Corn Congress during the 2007 Commodity Classic in Tampa, Fla., March 1-3. Corn Board candidates will be elected at the July 2007 meeting of Corn Congress in Washington, D.C.

For a copy of the application, contact Kathy Baker at NCGA at 636-733-9004, ext. 111, or e-mail at baker@ncga.com.
