Orange Rule

Position Summary

Government policy should promote a thriving agricultural sector.  Farmers should operate America’s farms with limited government involvement.  The NCGA supports: market-driven farm programs, minimal, consistent regulation, federal tax policy reform, and sufficient financial and credit programs.

The NCGA supports elimination of capital gains tax or any method to reduce capital gains taxes, including rate reductions, exemptions for farmland from capital gains, or indexing a property’s basis to inflation.
