Dennis McNinch, of Utica, Kan., serves as a member of the Corn Board of the National Corn Growers Association, a farmer-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington.

 

McNinch raises 5,000 acres of corn, winter wheat and grain sorghum on the family farm originated by his great grandfather in western Kansas in 1885. A fourth-generation farmer, whose son, Tanner, works alongside him. McNinch produces his crops using primarily no-till practices.

 

On the national level, McNinch serves on the Finance Committee, as the association’s alternate liaison to the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and as a member of the Risk Management Action Team.

 

A graduate of Leadership At Its Best, McNinch is chairman. of the Kansas Corn Commission. Previously, he served on the NCGA Ethanol Action Team.

 

Founded in 1957, the National Corn Growers Association represents nearly 40,000 dues-paying corn growers and the interests of more than 300,000 farmers who contribute through corn checkoff programs in their states. NCGA and its 50 affiliated state associations and checkoff organizations work together to help protect and advance corn growers’ interests.
