Brandon Hunnicutt

Corn Board Member   Giltner, Nebraska

Brandon Hunnicutt of Giltner, Nebraska, serves as a member of the Corn Board of the National Corn Growers Association, a farmer-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington, D.C.

 

Hunnicutt raises corn, soybeans, seed corn, popcorn and sorghum on his family farm in Nebraska. Along with his father, Daryl, and brother, Zach, he utilizes the latest technologies while integrating conservation tillage practices and cover crops on a nearly 100 percent irrigated farm.

 

On the national level, Hunnicutt chairs the Governance Committee and as the association’s representation to Field-to-Market, which he also chairs. As a member of the Commodity Classic Management Committee, he will serve as co-chair for the 2024 event.

 

Previously, he served on the Finance Committee as Corn Board liaison to the Production Technology Access and Stewardship Action Teams, chaired the Engaging Members Committee and represented the association on the Syngenta Advisory Council for Enogen. A graduate of NCGA’s Leadership At Its Best and Advanced Leadership Program, he served the U.S. Grains Council as team lead for the Middle East and North Africa Advisory Team.

 

Prior to his Corn Board service, Hunnicutt served as chair of NCGA’s Grower Services Action Team and vice chair of the Freedom to Operate Action Team.

 

Founded in 1957, the National Corn Growers Association represents nearly 40,000 dues-paying corn growers and the interests of more than 300,000 farmers who contribute through corn checkoff programs in their states. NCGA and its 50 affiliated state associations and checkoff organizations work together to help protect and advance corn growers’ interests.
