Dan Nerud

Corn Board Member   Dorchester, Nebraska

Dan Nerud, of Dorchester, Nebraska, serves as a member of the Corn Board of the National Corn Growers Association, a farmer-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington.

 

Nerud farms with his two sons on a dryland and irrigated farm consisting of corn, soybeans, alfalfa, grass hay and runs a cow-calf operation. Additionally, he also does construction work (dozer, excavator, scraper, track loader) as time permits.

Nerud serves as NCGA liaison to the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and to the National Coalition for Food and Agriculture Research. He is the past chair of the Members and Consumer Engagement Action Team and is the past president of the Nebraska Corn Growers Association. He currently serves as director of District One for the Nebraska Corn Board.

 

Founded in 1957, the National Corn Growers Association represents nearly 40,000 dues-paying corn growers and the interests of more than 300,000 farmers who contribute through corn checkoff programs in their states. NCGA and its 50 affiliated state associations and checkoff organizations work together to help protect and advance corn growers’ interests.
