Jed Bower, of Washington Court House, Ohio, serves as first vice president of the National Corn Growers Association, a farmer-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington.
Bower raises corn and soybeans with his wife, Emily and children, Ethan and Emma, on their fifth-generation family farm in south-central Ohio.
Bower chairs the NCGA Resolutions Committee, is a member of the Finance Committee and serves as first vice president of the National Corn Growers Association Foundation.
Previously, he served as board liaison to the National Pork Producers Council and the Waterways Council, Inc. and to the Member and Consumer Engagement and Production and Technology Access action teams. Prior to his election to the board, he served as vice chair of NCGA’s Market Development Action Team, a Sustainability Advisory Group member, and a Nominating Committee member.
At the state level, Bower served as past president of the Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association, and as a co-chair of Corn Vision 20/20.
Founded in 1957, the National Corn Growers Association represents approximately 40,000 dues-paying corn growers and the interests of more than 300,000 farmers who contribute through corn checkoff programs in their states. NCGA and its 50 affiliated state associations and checkoff organizations work together to help protect and advance corn growers’ interests.
